The opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist project, based on-site, at a luxurious Automotive manufacturer in Coventry. On an initial 5-month contract, with potential for ongoing work, the Quality Engineer will be joining a skilled team, working on Prototype projects. Working across rotating shifts, you will rotate weekly. The shift patterns are: * 06:00am - 14:00pm - Mon - Thurs & 06:00am - 11:00am Friday * 14:00pm - 22:00pm - Mon - Thurs & 11:00am - 16:00pm Friday Key duties and responsibilities: * Managing and resolving quality issues quickly and efficiently * Liaising with the internal quality team and supplier representatives * Completing 8D investigations within a timely manner * Creating and implementing processes to enable the production line to deliver. * Identifying how to optimise the build process and account for any actions that may delay the build. * Performing and preparing for audits * Data quality, AIMS and CCAR closure. * Delivery of reports to show status and actions against key outputs and objectives. The successful candidate: * Due to the urgency of this position, the successful candidate must be able to start within 2 weeks of the offer. * MUST be able to successfully commute on-site, for the working hours stated. * Demonstrated experience of working as a Quality Engineer or similar within an Automotive or Manufacturing environment. * A strong working knowledge of quality tools and techniques, systems, and standards * Strong attention to detail with a problem solving approach. * Good understanding and experience of FMEA. * Strong stakeholder management skills. What we will offer you: * £32.00 - £34.50 per hour DOE * Outside IR35 * Initial 5 month contract, with the potential to be extended.
