Due to expansion and growth, a manufacturer of precision components to the aerospace, defence, energy and automotive sectors has a new vacancy for a Quality Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for assuring all products are fit for purpose, driving a right first time, zero waste culture and ensuring customer and regulatory standards and accreditations are met. Commutable from: Blackburn, Preston, Burnley, Bolton, Manchester, Rochdale. Salary: £ 38,000 - £ 44,000 p.a. + benefits Suitable for: Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, QE Engineer, Quality Manager, QMS Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer. The Role Lead the drive to achieve Right First time and zero waste. Identify root cause and implement robust corrective actions. Develop and maintain Quality Management Systems. Utilise lean tools and methodologies Work cross functionally to help drive a consistent and effective approach to new product introduction Actively assist with quality aspects of project management as required to ensure bid success and bid delivery. Uphold processes that assure the effective health, safety and environmental best practices as defined by the OHSE management system. The Person Demonstrable experience in an advanced manufacturing environment. Commercial awareness / budgetary controls. Knowledge of aerospace regulations including AS9100. Experience of developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems Excellent understanding of quality assurance management principles and practice. Target driven with excellent analytical skills to support continuous improvement. Strategically focused but with strong operational knowledge. Managerial / Business acumen and awareness.
