Quality Engineer Nottinghamshire Permanent Salary circa £40,000 p.a EMBS Engineering Ltd is currently working exclusively with a reputable, market leading precision engineering company that specialises in fabricating, machining and assembling small to medium-sized complex components for globally recognised OEM's that operate within the aerospace and defence industries. As part of their continued growth due to new orders, our client is looking to expand it's quality team and therefore, is recruiting for either an established Quality Engineer or an ambitious, talented Quality Technician / Inspector who has had exposure to Quality Engineering responsibilities but is seeking their chance within a fully-fledged Quality Engineering role. Located in North Nottingham, this role is commutable for individuals in Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Newark and other surrounding areas. Training is available for both individuals looking to grow into a QE role but also for established Quality Engineers who are looking to continue their journey and develop further through internal and external training. This role has a primary focus on Product / Internal Quality, supporting their manufacturing & engineering departments, ensuring new parts are manufactured correctly as well as resolving any legacy product quality issues. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; * Generating and communicating Inspection Control Plans * Using problem-solving tools, 8D, 5Y etc. to address both internal corrective actions and risk mitigation tools such as FMEA * Ensuring effective non-conformance corrective actions and preventive actions are carried out * Generating concession submissions and supporting documentation * Supporting the development of the Business/Quality Management System * Supporting the team in New Product Introduction by providing the necessary quality information Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate: * Worked within a quality role in a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment that has supplied into industries such as; Aerospace, Motorsport, F1, Defence, Nuclear, Power, Petrochemical etc. * Held a shopfloor quality-focused role which has/is working closely with machined and/or fabrication components * Examples of using 8D, FMEA, RCCA, PPAP & APQP * Strong understanding of ISO9001 standards Understanding / knowledge of AS9100, Zero Defects, SQCDP would be desirable but not essential How to apply Please submit your most up-to-date CV About us EMBS Engineering is a dedicated talent specialist that partners with some of the UK's most prestigious, advanced, precision engineering companies within the Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Green, Environmental and FMCG industries.
