Purpose of role and accountabilities: * Maintain and improve the quality management systems, processes and related approvals * Support, develop and improve the relationship with our quality contacts within our customer base * Support and promote improvement activities to directly benefit our products and manufacturing processes * To work within cross functional teams to assist business development, growth and improvement projects as required * To control the calibration activity of all inspection and process instruments in accordance with the calibration database which includes liaising with the outside calibration agency. * Directly interface with customers on any customer quality concerns and takes the necessary steps to resolve such concerns * To conduct root cause analysis, SPC and other appropriate quality tools and techniques to ensure that the manufacturing processes meet customer requirements * To provide technical support for the processes carried out by machining, second operations and from the in house treatments and paint facility * To support the development of a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation * To liaise with the manufacturing function to provide support for problem resolution as required * To support site initiatives such as Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance Campaigns * To lead QRQC workshops with focus on Containment and Corrective Actions Core skills/attributes needed: * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within a machine shop environment * Ideally has a good level of experience and understanding of QC inspection * Has experience of programming / operating a CMM * Competent in the use of analogue and digital measuring equipment * Previous Internal auditing experience to ISO9001 / AS9100 desirable * Competent in deep dive root cause investigations using QRQC, 5Y, Ishikawa and 9 Step PPS techniques * Experience in customer facing for quality related products / issues * Interpretation of technical drawings including geometric tolerancing essential * New Product Introduction & associated tools FMEA, APQP + PPAP Awareness * Competent user of Microsoft Office tools essential
