About the Company: Our client is a leading aerospace service provider who manufactures hose assemblies, facility rigid tube assemblies, quick disconnect couplings, swivels, V-band couplings, band straps, instrument mount clamps, formed flanges, machined flanges and flex joints and ducts. The Lakeside facility serves as a global provider of high-quality conveyance components and systems for the aerospace and defense industry. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing intricate process sampling systems, employing statistical techniques, and managing quality systems. Your responsibilities will extend to developing process improvement initiatives, overseeing cost control programs, and reviewing specifications to ensure processes align with or surpass requirements. Key Responsibilities: Independently complete Quality Engineering assignments. Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes. Offer technical advice and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in process improvement projects. Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers. Ensure shipped products meet internal and external customer requirements. Develop and execute corrective actions, including the preparation of necessary responses. Deliver presentations to customer representatives or facility employees as required. Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience, with 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of measurement system analysis (MSA), lean manufacturing, and 6 sigma. Skills: Preferred expertise in machining, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100). ASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr.) are desirable. This role involves handling information and access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Successful applicants must be capable of complying with this requirement
