Here at The Job People, we are looking for an experienced PSV Technician to assist the Luton Depot on a fixed Night Shift. You will be a part of an established team maintaining over 111 buses and coaches, running a modern fleet up to Euro 6 specification including Mercedes and Volvo models. Our Luton Depot operates over 10 bays and houses generous tooling and specialist equipment. Salary £21.64 per hour As a PSV Technician, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses, to the strict standards set by both the company and the DVSA. The role will involve: Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the company and DVSA standards Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability MOT preparation - planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks. Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Company Standards Night Shift Tuesday to Saturday 22.00 - 06.00 or 23.00 - 07.00Requirements of a PSV Technician: Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle If you are not qualified, applications may be considered from candidates with at least 5 year's experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance - Desirable but not essential Electrical circuits and systems knowledge - Desirable but not essential A full UK driving licence (6 points or less) Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.
