Benefits for a Prototype Test Technician £24.00 Per Hour Free on site parking On site Canteen Great working environment Paid Weekly Responsibilities for a Prototype Test Technician We are currently recruiting to add to our current teams of Build & Assembly Technicians to work on a major EV Battery prototype project based on-site at a large automotive manufacturer in Coventry. On an initial 6-month contract, with potential for ongoing work, the battery Build & Assembly Technicians will be joining a team of skilled technicians, working on prototype projects building and testing Electric Vehicle batteries. Due to the nature of the role, you will be working on live batteries and therefore must have an EV or Electronic qualification. This could be domestic or commercial. To be successful in these roles, you will be focused on providing high quality service to our clients and you will have ideally had some exposure within an automotive manufacturing environment. This project rotates on shifts on a weekly basis, which are as follows: AM Shift: Mon – Thurs 06:00am – 14:00pm / Fri 06:00am – 11:00am PM Shift: Mon – Thurs 14:00pm – 22:00pm / Fri 11:00am – 16:00pm Requirements for a Prototype Test Technician Proven experience working as a Build Technician, Vehicle Technician, Electrician, Engineer, EV Technician or similar. Level 3 qualification in an EV or Electrical based qualification (Domestic electrician 18th Edition qualifications can be suitable) Confident using all types of multimeters and test instrumentation Strong knowledge of electrical continuity AP / SAP (Senior Authorised Person) Approved is highly desirable however not essential Ability to work to and follow set processes Proven experience working in an automotive environment. Immediate starts available and full training will be provided. £24.00 per hour – Outside IR35 Please note, if successful, you will be required to carry out and pass a trade test before commencing this contract.
