Project Test Engineer This is an office-based role based in Buckinghamshire, candidates need to hold full UK driving licence Due to continued expansion, my client is seeking forward-thinking Project Test Engineers who have a keen interest in technology and the automotive industry and are looking to build their career. As a Project Test Engineer, you will hold an engineering degree or equivalent or be qualified by experience with a minimum of one years’ experience of working ideally in the Automotive industry in a test engineering role. As a Project Test Engineer, you will be part of the project testing team, you will provide valuable feedback to developers and project members and take ownership of testing and signoff activities for different products by validating their functionality, performance, and reliability. You will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality standards are met with a clear understanding of customer requirements to carry out appropriate testing along with the ability to create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and test tools. Basic salary £35,000 plus bonus (paid quarterly) and extensive benefits package. Candidate Skills * Effective communication skills, written and spoken * ​Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills, excellent attention to detail with proven ability of working in a fast-paced environment * ​Able to demonstrate working in a collaborative cross functional engineering/test team with a positive attitude Any experience of the following skills would be advantageous, but not essential * Any exposure to GPS and automotive-based technologies * Understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices * Any software testing techniques, including manual and automated testing within the automotive industry * Any ADAS experience ​Duties * You will be involved in product testing, from R&D to product release * Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines * ​Able to develop and utilise software, firmware, and hardware testing tools for product testing * ​Able to write and execute product testing plans and strategies, whilst identifying and improve product testing tools and processes * ​As part of a team you will contribute to project planning and decision-making and able to create and maintain product test sheets and documentation
