Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm Purpose of Role: Responsible for Scope, Planning, Execution and Handover to Operations of various industrial change projects largely centred upon the following two areas: * Civil Engineering and Major Capital Equipment Installations * Manufacturing Facility Improvement / Standardisation Projects Key Accountabilities: * Project Leadership: Lead and manage the planning, design, execution, and delivery of capital projects related to aerospace facilities, including office spaces, manufacturing plants, civil engineering works and machine installations. * Scope and Budget Management: Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets. Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, operations, and senior leadership, to understand project needs, provide status updates, and ensure alignment with organisational goals. * Vendor and Contractor Management: Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contractors and vendors. Ensure all contractors meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. * Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and providing recommendations for resolution. * Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with applicable regulations. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines. * Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, budget forecasts, and resource allocation. Maintain detailed project documentation, including action logs, change control log and risk register * Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in project management and operational practices, contributing to the business operational processes. * Ensure the Gardner Project Management Process and Governance model is used on all projects * Formal Project Management qualification [APM (Association for Project Management), PMI, Prince, Agile] and demonstrable knowledge is preferred. Skills and Experience: * Experience: Minimum of 5 years of operations and/or project management experience in the aerospace, manufacturing or engineering sectors, with a proven track record of managing facilities and capital projects. * Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of project management processes and an understanding of aerospace industry-specific regulations and safety standards. * Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to a wide range of stakeholders. * Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. * Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding creative and practical solutions to project challenges
£45K per annum salary + achievable bonus £60k OTE (Uncapped)
