Currently working with an Automotive Manufacturer who is seeking a Project Engineer for a 12-month contract basis. Position: Project Engineer Duration: 12-Month Contract Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage assigned projects from conception to completion within the automotive manufacturing environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, quality, and supply chain to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. - Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones. - Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges. - Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, including progress reports and risk assessments. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and technologies. - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in project management tools and software. - Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies is a plus. - Flexibility to travel occasionally as required.
