Major Recruitment, in partnership with Polytec Group, are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader to join the team based in Bridgnorth. As a Production Team Leader you will be responsible for the assembly of components or vehicles being made into finished goods on a production line. The role includes people management and reporting requirements. Responsibility for the operation and providing support to the Plant Manager with the day-to-day management of the plant, overseeing a team and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets. Provide leadership and line management to the team, co-ordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely. Work under general supervision, reviewed by Management. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success. The role will be oeprating over a shift pattern 6-2/2-10. Key Responsibilities of a Production Team Leader: Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards Team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements Full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times Equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly All records are completed appropriately and accuratley Non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated The escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed and adhered at all times Ensure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets. Daily huddle meetings to ensure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities Ensure stock transactions are carried out accurately Complete all works orders Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency Key Skills required for a Production Team Leader: Work experience in a high-volume Automotive manufacturing- desirable but will consider applicants from FMCG, Aerospace and high-volume manufacturing sectors.
