Working for a world leader within the aircraft manufacturing industry the Production Supervisor/Production Controller will be responsible for supervising staff and organising and monitoring work for their given area of responsibility. Candidates will need to have previous experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Benefits: Hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm Friday 24 days holiday plus public holidays Contributory Pension Scheme Health Care Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance Company Sick Pay Scheme Free on site parking Duties: Understand the Master Production Schedule and Production Plan Ensure the team complete tasks assigned on time Monitor and plan resources needed to complete workload Monitor attendance and timekeeping of team members, approving and managing staff holidays to minimise the disruption to the production schedule Be involved in the recruitment and selection process and attend first level disciplinaries Complete performance reviews for their team identifying and carrying out additional training Ensuring that team members operate in accordance with quality procedures Assist in identifying methods for continuous improvement Be responsible for the safe working of the team ensuring H&S policies are adhered to Qualifications & Experience: Experience gained within a manufacturing environment is essential Previous experience working as a Production Supervisor would be preferable Must have previous SAP or ERP systems experience Basic inspection skills are desirable Must have excellent communication skills with a strong "can-do" ethic Exceptional planning and organisation skills are prerequisite Candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible to apply for this vacancy.
