Production Planner/Controller – HGV Location: Thetford Salary: Circa £28,000 (depending on experience) Job Description: This full-time role in Thetford is pivotal to our operations, demanding a candidate with exceptional attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Ideally, applicants should have a background in engineering or manufacturing, with ex-forces candidates strongly encouraged to apply Reporting to: Production Manager Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with the Production Manager, Slidebed Planner/Controller, and manufacturing supervisors to ensure the timely and efficient production of our heavy range of products. * Generate production orders for in-house manufactured items and monitor project progress and issues at monthly production meetings. * Work with the IT Manager to enhance the functionality of LN software for planning purposes. * Assess priorities in coordination with the Production Manager and Slidebed Planner, considering resources and sub-contractors. * Address material supply problems within production departments, conducting thorough research and ensuring effective resolution for the future. * Provide support to the Production Manager in various production planning tasks as required. Key Skills: * Ability to quickly grasp and apply technical information. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably experience with MRP software such as LN (training will be provided). * Excellent communication skills. * Methodical and systematic approach to tasks, with keen attention to detail. * Tenacity and enthusiasm to excel in a challenging and varied role. * Previous experience in an engineering manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
