Description Collaborate with the Production team to ensure customer dispatch deadlines are met Assist in demand planning and labour capacity forecasting Prepare and issue production paperwork, including kitting as required Participate in daily shortage meetings with Supervisors to address material or production gaps Maintain effective communication and coordination with both production and purchasing departments Support continuous improvement initiatives and apply LEAN methodologies where applicable Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for presentation to the management team Demonstrate strong teamwork skills; effectively liaise with all departments to ensure smooth operationsProfile A successful Production Planner should have: Proven experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector Excellent organizational abilities with strong problem-solving capabilities Solid understanding of inventory control and supply chain best practices Skilled in cross-functional communication and collaboration with various departments Able to perform effectively in high-pressure environments and meet critical deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis Familiarity with SAP; experience considered a plus Hands-on experience with production and capacity planning processesJob Offer Salary circa £45k per annum (day rate equivalent), depending on experience.
