Our client based in Farnborough is looking to recruit a Production Operative on a contract basis. Our client is an aerospace company, with a fantasic production facility offering 37.5 hours a week with overtime available. As the Production Operative you will be required to read from drawings to enable you to assemble and inspect products in line with production requirements. Main Responsibilities of the role: * Assembly/manufacture of components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies of production and/or development products * Inspection and testing of products including operation of automatic test equipment * Responsibility for self-inspection thereby requiring high levels of accuracy and quality of work * You will be trained in some of the following operations: welding, brazing, coil winding, encapsulation, soldering and machine operation Qualifications/Experience Must have previous experience within a similar assembly environment and have proven mechanical and/or electrical skills. Must meet stringent Visual Acuity standards including colour blindness and depth perception. Staff are responsible for self-inspection so a high level of accuracy and quality of work is essential. This Assembly Operator role requires the ability to work to processes and procedures and meet the required performance targets. Must be able to work in a team environment.
