Join a leading Defence & Aerospace organisation as Production Engineer. The Role: So, what will you be doing as a Production Engineer? Generates and maintains Production schedules and sequences of Engineering Work orders aligned with the production process and Overall Program Schedule. Applies production engineering concepts, methods, and techniques to enhance product, process, and service delivery in accordance with program requirements. Designs plant and equipment layouts, devises capacity plans, implements accident prevention measures, and optimizes sequencing of operations and workflows. Assesses emerging techniques and technological advancements for incorporation into production processes and service operations. Designs, sustains, and streamlines the production system by integrating design elements, supply chain logistics, facilities, equipment, and personnel. Conducts thorough workflow design and analysis. Constructs models, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis, offering concise summaries and metrics for leadership and customer consultation. Conducts research to enhance schedule performance, reduce costs, and enhance quality, particularly for large-scale systems integration and asset utilization. Devises and executes plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and updates to operating methodologies. Develops standardized product assembly instructions and practices. Prepares comprehensive operations plans encompassing work statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change management to ensure attainment of technical objectives. Assists in execution planning utilizing project management, planning and scheduling, and shop load practices. Provides support for production, supply chain logistics, performance tracking, and recovery planning. Ensures adherence to established industry safety standards, design specifications, and ergonomic guidelines.What are we looking for in our next Production Engineer? Strong industrial engineering background and knowledge. Extensive experience with Aurora, Gold ESP MRO Experience with Root Cause Analysis, problem solving and improvement projects. Ability to collaborate with both the engineering workforce and mechanics on the factory floor. Experience in assembly integration and test of components, assemblies, and systems. Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations and environment. Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills. Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, ideally within engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
