Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Product Design Engineer (Cabin Components) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions. Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour. The purpose of this role is to design, develop, validate and introduce Cabin components into vehicle programmes. Cabin component commodities are pre-dominantly 'Make to Print' enabling full responsibility of the development process to be managed. Roles and responsibilities: Have a good understanding of the full product development life cycle. Manage the component delivery plan to quality, cost and time. Lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes. Skills required: Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues. Understanding and experience in new product development life cycle. Experience of problem-solving tools and techniques. Understanding of Digital, CAD, CAE, etc tools to develop component system geometry. Skilled in key software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Previous experience within engineering discipline. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Understanding or working knowledge of the Agile Process. Education required: Degree qualified or minimum 3 years equivalent experience
