A global automotive manufacturer with future investment in the UK requires a Process Engineer to coordinate all project elements and support the day-to-day best practices in process manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive manufacturing with a strong hands-on mechanical skill set. (CIRCA) Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Launch Engineer, Support Engineer, Industrial Engineer The Role Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will have the following duties: -Making improvements to the process robustness, cycle times and manufacturing cost improvements during the commissioning of new tooling. -Provide engineering support in reviews and update FMEAs Process Flows, Control Plans, Work Instructions. -Drive new projects through from initial tooling concept to launch. The Person Educated to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering discipline you will have the following experience: -A hands-on mechanical background with experience of following the route cause of a problem and coming up with a permanent solution. -Experience of CAD for drawing layouts and general understanding of GD&T. -Experience in robot manipulation, six sigma statistical analytical methods and CNC machining knowledge is all desirable but not essential.
