Position: Process Engineer Location: Filton Plant, UK About the Role: A vacancy has arisen within the Filton Plant for a Process Engineer. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the updates of core planning to enable operations. This could involve responding to queries from operations or updating drawings to ensure clear instructions are provided through planning on the shop floor. Your mission will be to optimize overall spent time by aircraft through effective planning. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration: Work with Design and Operations teams during serial production to align on the most optimized solutions. Production Support: Provide lineside support for any production issues. Core Process Engineering: Support operation queries and process updates in line with requirements. Manufacturing Support: Provide Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support to a wide range of projects, including A400M, A350, Additive Manufacturing, and R&T Programs. Work Order Planning: Facilitate wing integration through work order planning, from design through to operations. Failure Support: Assist lineside with failures in collaboration with the Multi-functional team (MFT). Capex Projects: Support the wider team with respect to capital expenditure projects. Process Improvement: Focus on process improvement, spent time reduction, and serial allocated time optimization. Best Practices: Identify and share best practices across stations/CDTs/BME to improve efficiency. Performance Management: Propose improvements based on analysis of manufacturing performance and disruptions using PARETO. Improve process and serial allocated time via VA/NVA analysis and shop floor process observation.Skills and Experience (Mandatory): Product and Process Knowledge: Understanding of aircraft product design, assembly, and procedural processes. Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and communication skills. Computer Skills: Proficient in computer skills, preferably Google "G Suite" and SAP. SAP Experience: Good level of experience in SAP.Skills and Experience (Preferred): Legislation Application: Experience in applying Export Control, Cyber Security, and Health/Safety legislation into manufacturing. Design Software: Experience in the use of design software such as Catia, 3dx, etc. Knowledge Areas: Knowledge of ICY, Key Characteristics, and Metrology. Planning Experience: Experience in planning within SAP
