RC Fornax are seeking experienced Principal Systems Engineers to support the ongoing development and enhancement of a complex in‑service radar system. The role focuses on planning, executing, and analysing both rig-based and flight trials, and requires strong experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced analytical techniques. Key Responsibilities Analyse large datasets generated from rig and flight trials using systematic and analytical methods. Evaluate radar system performance against requirements and produce Systems Problem Reports (SPRs) for further investigation. Apply signal processing, image processing, and object classification techniques to derive meaningful insights from real-world data. Investigate and diagnose system anomalies, ensuring system performance aligns with functional and technical specifications. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to prototype and develop advanced defence solutions. Contribute to System Verification & Validation (V&V) activities throughout the system development lifecycle. Required Skillset Strong proficiency in MATLAB, particularly in analysing and processing large datasets. Proven experience across the V‑model lifecycle, especially within implementation, integration, testing, and V&V phases. Background working with or developing safety‑critical systems. Understanding of radar systems or complex sensor systems is highly beneficial
