PDI Technician Salary/Rate: £14-£15/hour    Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire  We are looking for an experienced PDI Technician to join our busy bodyshop based in Peterborough.  The job in a nutshell Salary: £14-£15 per hour Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00  Peterborough, Cambridgeshire  Type of employment: Permanent PDI Technician Benefits of this offer Great working environment 25 days holidays Plus bank holidays Competitive Salary PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: We're currently Looking for 3X Pre Delivery Technicians (PDI Technicians ) to join our expanding team. As experienced PDI Technician, you will be responsible to ensure quality of product released for customer collection/delivery, inline with the manufacturing and diagnostics standards. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR A PDI TECHNICIAN WILL INCLUDE: Inspecting for damage and / or missing components Check vehicles for loose or misaligned items such as trim, doors and hardware Inspect bodywork to detect minor chips and scratches in paint Report any unsafe issues immediately to management Document any repair work that needs to be carried out Carry out the vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection to manufacturer specification. Record the completion of the PDI and update fleet systems Start engine and make sure all aspects of vehicle are working i.e. Indicators, lights, heating etc. New Car PDI Checks list inline with the manufacturing and diagnostics standards WHAT WE NEED AS A MINIMUM FROM A PDI TECHNICIAN: Clean driving license -Eessential Previous mechanical experience - Essential The ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. well versed with different car brands NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance - Service Replacement - Essential Level 2 or Level 3, Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems - Maintenance and Repair - Desirable Are flexible in approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team, providing support in resolving problems and have a can do, right first time and passionate approach
