Platform Resourcing is looking for a Parts Coordinator to join a growing Engineering Workshop located in the Ashford area of Kent. The company is very well-established, are in an exciting time of expansion and this role is a key position for them. This position is new to the business so you can completely make it your own. You will need a full driving license. You will be working in one of the company's many outer workshops, alongside a team of Engineers that are responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles throughout Kent. You will initially be responsible for all incoming parts, inventory management including logging goods in and out of the workshop, liaising with Engineers in regard to parts they have used or will need to order into successfully complete repairs. The role will develop over time, at what rate is completely dependent on you. They would like you to eventually deal directly with suppliers, ordering parts, scheduling work for the Engineers and continuing with all inventory management. Parts Coordinator Benefits: Salary of up to £32,000, dependent on experience Yearly pay reviews and appraisals Hours Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm New role to the business, that will expand and grow around your skillset 20 days holiday plus 9 bank holidays Pension Free ParkingParts Coordinator Responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee the daily opening of the workshop. Receive and inspect parts deliveries, ensuring that all items are accounted for and in good condition. Logging all goods in and out of the workshop (parts used and delivered by suppliers or Head Office) Organize and store parts inventory in a systematic and easily accessible manner. Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including stock levels, usage, and reordering requirements directly with Head Office and main stores. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all workshop personnel. Coordinate with technicians and office controllers to schedule repairs and maintenance tasks based on parts availability. Maintain a clean and organized workshop, including proper waste disposal and adherence to cleanliness standards. Assist in daily reporting and providing feedback to workshop personnel as needed.Parts Coordinator Essential Experience/ Skills: Experience within a workshop/ warehouse-based environment dealing with Parts is essential Experience of inventory management or stock control is also essential IT Literate, able to use system to update goods in and out of the workshop Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet Attention to detail and accuracy in parts inventory management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and inventory management software. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to workshop operations.
