With an increase in workload, we are actively seeking experienced Parts Assistants to join our team on a long-term ongoing basis. Position Overview: As a Parts Assistant, you'll be a crucial member of our team, responsible for various tasks related to automotive parts management. From ensuring efficient stock control to processing warranty parts returns, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our valued clients. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the Inspection team to analyze completed inspections and capture all parts required for refurbishment quotations. * Work closely with Technical areas to address complex parts requirements for individual jobs and estimate creation and ordering. * Maintain structured inventory management through periodic stock checks and disciplined stock control regimes. * Ensure optimal stock levels of parts and consumables based on maximum and minimum quantities, adhering to just-in-time processes. * Manage warranty parts returns processing in accordance with strict guidelines. * Identify and claim surcharge parts accurately. * Order parts correctly using the appropriate system and perform loading, unloading, and quality checking of all parts. * Receive parts into stock, reconcile associated paperwork, and record invoices. * Control defective/deficient parts through the parts return procedure. * Issue parts, ensuring correct recording against technician job cards. * Perform additional tasks such as making number plates, maintaining general housekeeping of the parts department, and any other duties required to provide excellent customer service. Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Pay Rate: £12.27- £13.47 per hour Immediate Starts Available!
