Robinson Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join an RAC approved vehicle repair organisation within Huddersfield, wakefield and surrounding areas. You will undertake the repair or replacement of bodywork panels of damaged vehicles, including chassis and framework. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a very similar role and strong teamwork skills. Rate of Pay: £30,000 - 40,000 PA (DOE) Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm Full-time (Permanent contract) Location: Holmfirth Duties & Responsibilities: * Replacing or repairing damaged areas to a very high standard. * Planning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when required. * Removing, repairing and replacing damaged panels. * Fixing rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork. * Repair dents and scratches using specialty fillers. * Filing and sanding effected panels ensuring a smooth finish. * Welding repaired or new panels back into place. * Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge. * Reporting and seeking advice on any problems highlighted during repair so that these may be overcome and the customer kept informed. * Ensure all works are carried out with due regard to health, safety and welfare of both employees and customers.
