Brief overview of the role:
This apprenticeship is the level 2 Parts Apprenticeship Programme with Thomas Hardie Commercials in Deeside. As a Parts Advisor apprentice, you will learn how to source, order and supply automotive parts whilst giving expert advice, handling inventory, and ensuring efficient customer service.

In this Apprenticeship you will be part of a experienced team of Parts Advisors making sure the operations within the department run smoothly, whilst also receiving expert training.

Roles & Responsibilities include:
• Identifying and verifying for quality, quantity and description, parts stocks and other goods from suppliers.
• Receiving into the department and correctly locating items in established bin and other locations.
• Accurately identifying, locating and picking parts for workshop staff and customers’ by means of acquired knowledge, parts catalogues and computer stock lists.
• Conducting all transactions with workshop staff and customers pleasantly and courteously with an emphasis on customer service.
• Working within agreed discount structure and customer terms including the sensitive areas of credit withdrawal.
• Seeking ways to increase parts and workshop sales by identifying customer needs and incremental items to sell.
• Enhancing the reputation of Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd. at every opportunity when interacting with others.

Requirements and prospects

Qualifications Required:
• You must have GCSE 9-4 (A* - C) or Essential Skills Level 2 in English and Maths and we will support you to help develop your knowledge further.
• Predicated/MOCK grades are acceptable at application stage, however all job offers will be conditional pending exam results

Training to be provided:
This is an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship programme, delivered by Remit Group.

Awarding Body: Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)

Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Automotive Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks either in the workplace or remotely via Microsoft Teams, giving 1-2-1 advice and guidance to help you achieve the following IMI qualifications:
• Autocare Technician Level 2
• Functional Skills Level 1 in English & Maths (if required)
