This role plays a crucial part in preparing precision components for painting and surface finishing — ensuring every part meets the highest quality standards for aerospace applications. Paint Prepper Responsibilities * Prepare components for painting, including masking, unmasking, cleaning, and surface preparation. * Carry out abrasive cleaning, shot blasting, and vibration deburring as required. * Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to confirm correct specifications. * Inspect surfaces for defects before and after paint application. * Operate finishing and blasting equipment safely and maintain tools in good working condition. * Ensure the workspace remains clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety and COSHH procedures. Paint Prepper Profile * Previous experience as a Paint Prepper, Finisher, or similar role within aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing. * Confident reading and following engineering drawings and specifications. * Skilled in using hand tools and basic measuring instruments. * Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and pride in workmanship. * Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH standards relating to paints, solvents, and chemicals.
