Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Plastics, Robotics & Automation Location: Bradford / Leeds Salary: £46,000 – £51,000 DOE A leading manufacturer in the plastics and packaging sector are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support its fast-paced, highly automated site. With continued investment in robotics, injection moulding machinery, and high-speed packaging lines, they are looking for someone from an equally demanding and technical environment — such as automotive, robotics, or injection moulding. Key Responsibilities: * Perform planned and reactive maintenance on robotics, high-speed packaging equipment, and injection moulding machines * Diagnose and repair faults across PLC-controlled systems, conveyors, pick-and-place units, servo drives, sensors, and pneumatic circuits * Maintain and optimise automation and robotic systems (e.g. Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) * Contribute to ongoing machine upgrades, CI projects, and root cause analysis * Work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and maintain high output Your Background: * Level 3 qualified (or above) in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering * Strong experience in plastics manufacturing, injection moulding, automotive production, or robotics-integrated environments * Confident with electrical fault finding, interpreting schematics, and troubleshooting PLC inputs/outputs * Knowledge of robotic handling systems, safety circuits, and modern control systems * Comfortable working independently or as part of a proactive maintenance team Why Apply? * Secure, growing manufacturer investing in the latest tech * Exposure to a range of automation and robotics systems * Structured progression and skill development opportunities * Competitive salary and supportive team culture If you're a multi-skilled engineer with a background in plastics, automotive, or robotic manufacturing, this is a great opportunity to apply your expertise in a modern, technology-led production environment.
