MOT Tester Basic Salary £34k-£36k + Bonus 47.5 Hour Week Ash Vale Area “Testing vehicles, one safety milestone at a time” Job Description & Responsibilities As an MOT Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles by conducting thorough inspections and examinations in compliance with DVSA standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Conducting MOT tests on various vehicles in accordance with regulatory guidelines and standards. * Performing comprehensive checks on vehicle systems, components, and structures to identify any defects or non-compliance. * Accurately completing all necessary paperwork and electronic documentation related to MOT testing and certification. * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of DVSA guidelines and regulations and staying informed about any changes or updates in the MOT testing process. * Collaborating with the service team to ensure efficient workflow, effective communication, and excellent customer service. Qualifications * Valid MOT Tester License (Classes 4 and 7) issued by the DVSA. * Proven experience as an MOT Tester, with a strong understanding of MOT testing standards and procedures. * In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and their functions. * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously to ensure accurate testing and reporting. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain test results and vehicle requirements to customers. * Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively. * Commitment to adhering to all health and safety protocols in the workplace.
