We’re looking for an efficient, motivated MOT Tester to join a busy workshop in Macclesfield. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant MOT tests while maintaining excellent productivity. You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team where speed, quality, and customer service are equally important. The workshops are performance-driven, so efficiency and the ability to keep momentum throughout the day are key to success in this role.   Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards Managing a high volume of MOT tests efficiently without compromising quality Accurately recording test results and identifying safety-critical issues Working collaboratively with Technicians and Service Advisors Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment Delivering a professional and customer-focused service at all times Bonus Structure (MOT Volume-Based) In addition to a competitive basic salary, this role offers a clear and achievable bonus structure based on MOT test volume:   Up to 5 tests per day – No bonus (minimum expected performance) 5–8 tests per day – £0.50 per test 8+ tests per day – £2.00 per test This structure rewards efficiency, consistency, and strong time management, with high performers significantly increasing their overall earnings.
