MOT Tester – Classes 4 and 7 Our client is a well established family run business located in Corby. Due to continued growth they are looking to expand their current team and recruit an experienced MOT Tester. Location: Corby Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 DOE Job Type: Permanent Full Time Hours / Days: Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700 and alternative Saturday mornings Responsibilities of the MOT Tester: * Receiving and completing work orders. * Conducting MOT tests according to Ministry standards. * Reading and understanding car service manuals. * Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. * Observing safety protocols at all times. * Rectifying faults and mechanical failures. * Conducting routine auto maintenance. * Maintaining state health and safety work standards. * Completing and presenting MOT test reports. * Advising clients on major repairs and services. Requirements of the MOT Tester: * Hold a valid MOT Tester Licence. * Full UK Drivers Licence. * Minimum of 2 years experience working as an MOT tester. * In-depth knowledge of MOT testing standards and procedures. * Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation. * Advanced technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. * Excellent troubleshooting skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Confident communicating effectively with customers where required. * Detail-oriented with good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. * Exceptional attention to detail. * Reliable and with the ability to work to deadlines * Organised and ability to work methodically
