Looking for a mobile technician role? Looking for a mobile technician that is predominantly Monday to Friday role? Read on! This is a mobile role working for a company with the UK's largest fleet of accessible vehicles - providing valuable services to special needs education providers and adult services. You will be reporting directly to the workshop manager for this that is mainly a 40 hour Monday to Friday role with occasional paid overtime. You will be joining a team of mobile technicians who cover across the South East, with the workshop manager looking to distribute jobs based on your proximity (i.e they want to keep you as local as possible) The main purpose of this job is to provide a prompt, flexible and efficient maintenance and repair service in accordance with this companies contractual agreements and legal requirements as terms of operating licence. What's expected of you? Responsibilities include: - Keeping the workshop / van stocks with essential parts, oils and fluids - Ensure that all vehicles in your care (including your service van) are kept in road worthy and serviceable condition; only being released when safe and legal for use - Maintain vehicles, tail lifts (subject to training), ramps, heaters and all other associated equipment inline with guidelines - Maintain good timekeeping and liaise with the Workshop Manager/Workshop Controller regarding job start and completion times, downtime, duration of productive and non- productive work, travel times & late starts, holiday requests, overtime & early finish authorisation. - Complete and update all relevant paperwork and/or online (Motivity) requirements enabling central control to maintain a high standard of customer interface thus keeping LH and the customer always informed. - Where required attend vehicle breakdowns and carry out prompt repairs to return the vehicle to service as soon as possible - Identify and keep yourself up to date with essential training requirements, diagnostic and repair methods, essential certification and DVSA’s Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness etc. Assess and arrange for essential and compulsory training suitable for self-development.
