Overview MET Technician Accident Repair Centre Daventry Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 basic salary with Hours saved Bonus The site in Daventry is recruiting for an experienced MET Technician to play a vital role within our Bodyshop team. Working within a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, you will be tasked with repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer's specifications. This role is for an MET Technician who can strip and fit damaged vehicles from Bodywork to air bag and airconditioning systems. We are happy to speak to candidates with qualifications or time served fitters. Candidates without qualifications can be put through various courses so they can gain an ATA. Responsibilities * Carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs including stripping, refurbishing, and fitting parts to damaged vehicles * Act as a multi-skilled MET Technician undertaking all aspects of repair as required * Work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians * Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirements when carrying out repairs * Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs * Liaise with other internal colleagues to ensure effective communication and teamworking * Ensure any administration or supporting documentation is produced in line with company process * Ensure efficient working by adhering to defined repair completion times For this role we are looking for someone who has had previous experience in a similar role, experience in a bodyshop woul;d be preferable but we are open to speaking to candidates with various skill sets in MET. We would like you to have a working knowledge of automotive systems and the specific materials required for the repair process. You need to have an honest and diligent approach to work with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality of work. You will also need to have a full and valid UK driving licence.
