Are you a skilled and experienced MET Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in a rapidly growing company? Steer Automotive Group is dedicated to delivering top-quality automotive repair services, and due to ongoing business expansion, we are now looking for a talented MET Technician to join our team at our Darlington bodyshop. About the Role: As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include: * Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. * Dismantling vehicles for repair and reassembling them to pre-accident condition. * Performing inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work. * Ordering replacement parts as required and ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications. * Collaborating with the team to ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and complies with safety regulations. About You: To succeed in this role, you will need: * Extensive MET experience, ideally from an accident repair background, working on a variety of vehicle types including electric and hybrid. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure. * The ability to manage your workload to ensure vehicles are completed on time and to the highest standards. * Excellent communication skills, working well both as part of a team and independently. * Flexibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with customer satisfaction in mind. * ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair, with experience in electric and hybrid vehicle repair (support for renewing qualifications will be provided). * A commitment to following Health & Safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
