PURPOSE OF JOB Carry out repairs, overhauls and refurbishments of aircraft engines and/or components in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. LOCATION This role will initially be based in Portsmouth but will relocate to Gosport in the future. The successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate when required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PURPOSE OF JOB Carry out repairs, overhauls and refurbishments of aircraft engines and/or components in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Roles and responsibilities are conditional of gaining the associated Green Card Approvals * Check in and strip engines/components/products in line with engineering instructions * Carry out basic cleaning of components as appropriate * Inspect all relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit using product information and OEM manuals in accordance with company procedures and Quality Manuals * Ensure all components for rebuilding are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets * Build unit to defined standard ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate * Prepare/set up unit for testing * Test unit and ensure all agreed checks are actioned * Carry out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES * Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations * Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP) * Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements * Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level * Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained * Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder.
