The role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in creating innovative mechanical components and systems using CAD software, like SolidWorks. Collaborate globally, creating 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical docs. Optimise designs for efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Support manufacturing and installation, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated on industry trends. This role operates on a five-day workweek (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week. You will take responsibility for: Generate 3D design models and CAD drawings for existing equipment. Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports. Collaborate with senior engineers to conceptualise new products or enhancements to existing ones. Assume responsibility for concept design reviews of tailor-made and bespoke automation solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals. What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following: Previous experience with Solidworks or AutoCAD for 3D modelling & design. Proficiency in working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards Proven track record as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting.
