Mechanical Assembler Starting Salary - £27,500 Overtime - £21.43 per hour. (Available 7:00 - 8:00 Mon - Fri. 12:30 - 5:00 on Fri + weekend work available) Benefits - Excellent benefits inc 25 days holidays + bank holidays, 1.5x overtime, fantastic pension scheme Location - Near Gerrards Cross Hours - 37 hour week (Mon to Thurs 8.00 - 17.00 and Fri 8.00 - 12.00) A well renowned client of ours is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a very busy assembly team in making a variety of complex sub-assemblies. Working to engineering drawings and using a variety of handheld tools, adhesives and assembly techniques to ensure product quality is perfect every time. This role also involves being responsible for your own inspection work, using hand tools and inspection machinery such as vision machines and pressure testing. Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities: Working with accuracy to engineering diagrams and build plans Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) Using a variety of handheld tools to assemble components Completing complex assemblies using handheld assembly/fitting tools and adhesives (Loctite, Araldite, Soldering etc) Testing and inspecting the quality of your own work and performing quality checks using hand tools, vision machines and pressure testing Use SAP to record your work Mechanical Assembler Skills, Qualification and Experience Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications Basic computing skills, ideally MRP or ERP use (Particularly SAP) Experience working with small sized mechanical bolts (M2, M3, M4 etc) Proven experience using hand tools such as Torque Wrenches Pressure testing experience is ideal but not essential Experience of completing self-inspection and being responsible for all own inspection At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience For all successful candidates, our client will undertake background security checks.
