Material Planner - Peterborough (Hybrid) - Up to £24/hr - Inside IR35 Jonathan Lee Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Material Planner to join our client's inclusive and successful team. This contract Material Planning role is based in Peterborough and offers a contract rate of £24.00 per hour. 12 month initial contract with the view to be a long term role. The Inbound Supply Excellence team is responsible for ensuring externally sourced material is ordered and available on time at the point of use, to support engine assembly and component machining operations whilst utilising Plan For Every Part (PFEP) data to optimise component inventory levels. In your first few weeks in this Material Planner role, you can expect to: Manage the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system parameters and issue component schedules to suppliers Interpret requirements planning demand needs and develop production/supplier firm and planned orders to satisfy the master schedule Establish priority of material requirements, schedules and orders to suppliers and the factory Liaise with external suppliers to provide material input information Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of materials To succeed in this Material Planner role, you should have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: Previous supply chain/material planning experience External facing experience with suppliers or customers Strong negotiation skills Effective communication skills, sound judgment and ability to work in a team structure Proven problem-solving and analytical skills to identify needs, analyse potential alternatives and provide suitable solutions In return for your passion, collaborative approach and commitment, you'll receive a generous contract per hour rate of £24.00 joining a friendly and inclusive culture.
