Job Title: Manufacturing Team Leader Type: Permanent Location: Bedhampton, England Salary: £32,100 with a team leader annual bonus of £3,900 (Total: £36,000) About Us: Join our team at the Bedhampton Fuel & Motion Control Systems facility, where we manufacture, support, and service hydraulic system parts and products. Our focus includes hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, electric motor pumps, power transfer units, hydraulic power packages, hydraulic motor-driven AC/DC generators, and generator control units. Job Summary: As a Manufacturing Team Leader, your primary role is to lead a small team of technicians within the Aerospace OEM department. Your key responsibility is to ensure the timely turnaround of both Civil and Military Aerospace components, aligning with contractual commitments. The Job: Supervise, plan, and delegate OEM activities. Plan day-to-day labour and monitor progress against the plan. Conduct daily production reviews and team meetings, escalating issues as needed. Track Daily Utilization & Productivity within the Cell. Assign employees to daily tasks to meet sales plans and provide product training. Oversee and troubleshoot production flow, recommending process improvements. Manage and engage the team to maximize production efficiency. Ensure adherence to Company policies, SOPs, and CMMs. Ensure Safe Working Practices are always adhered to. Maintain accurate production paperwork. Ensure line cleanliness through good housekeeping practices. Coordinate workload, resource planning, and escalate issues. Demonstrate leadership competencies to engage and motivate the team. Carry out and maintain risk assessments and adhere to COSHH regulations. Deputize for the MTM when required. Liaise with Sustaining/Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering. Other duties as assigned. Required skills: Working knowledge of Aerospace products and policies. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings/CMMs. Leadership and motivation skills within a controlled environment. Team collaboration and effective problem-solving abilities. Coordination and prioritization of workload and resources. Understanding of Lean tools desirable. Experience working within a Part 145 organization is advantageous. Strong communication skills. Drives for results. Basic Qualifications: BTEC/A Level equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations. Minimum 1-3 years of experience leading others. Proficient in reading and writing English. This position involves handling information and access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
