Manufacturing Project Manager – Darlington – Full Time Permanent Role Evolution are a car restoration company based in Darlington, we take some of the most beautiful cars ever made and re-build them from scratch. We keep the beauty of these cars but update them, providing modern chassis, drive train, braking systems and suspension. Every part is cut, milled and fabricated on site by master craftsmen. We are looking to increase production of these beautiful machines and launch a worldwide, high end car parts business. We are moving to a new 20,000 square foot custom designed facility complete with cutting edge CNC manufacturing machinery to continue making the world’s best car parts with the highest precision and quality at scale. This is an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Project Manager to join our team, assist in the set-up of this new facility, implementation of ISO 9001 and DFMEA quality systems, development of manufacturing processes and implementation to ensure accuracy, repeatability and efficiency in manufacture. What are we looking for? Basic Qualifications - * Minimum 5 years of professional experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering * Apprenticed or Chartered Engineer with significant practical experience * Project Management Qualification, ideally to degree level or demonstrable experience * Working proficiency with DFMEA methodology and implementation * Demonstrated capability solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Experience in a fast-paced, iterative design environment * Working experience in an ISO9001 quality system environment Preferred skills & experience - * Experience in a car manufacturing environment * Experience in process qualification using industry standard methodologies such as IQ/OQ/PQ * Professional experience with CAD/CAM * Experience with industrial automation design and implementation Additional Requirements - * Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed What are the main responsibilities? * Selection, development and implementation of an ERP system. * Development and implementation of ISO quality systems * Complete production work packs including route sheets and supporting documentation. * Communicate technical requirements clearly and concisely to production colleagues. * Generating and managing timing plans where applicable. * Being in regular contact with customers and key stakeholders * Work closely with department heads to help coordinate production efficiently. * Manage labour and materials in a cost-effective manner to ensure the project and commercial requirements are met * Monitoring the team to make sure all orders are completed on time and correctly * For the programmes and projects, you lead, measure and report the site's progress and success, develop reporting systems and provide regular progress reports to management We appreciate your interest in our company and would ask you to apply with an updated CV.
