Machining Manager We are seeking an industry leading Manufacturing Manager with Engineering experience in the Machining and Automation industry to lead the Machining Division. As part of the ongoing investment in the business this role will work Alongside Operations to ensure the Precision Grinding and Machining facility produces the components RFT and in the most efficient route available. You will be: Monitor adherence to plan and work with planning to understand deviations in Planned & Actual. Manage Eng team to ensure all CNC Programs , Tool requests , Setting & Tooling Sheets and Fixture requirements are addressed and in place JIT Support writing of CNC programs where applicable and perform line side trouble shooting to support machining team Work with Operations Director to drive Continuous Improvement - deliver quarterly cost saving initiatives to the senior board as part of the contiuining CI program Oversee Apprentice program and onboard new starters into the Grinding and Machining area. Ensure Group Quality , Safety and Lean Expectations are adhered to Directly managing of circa 40 personnel a mixture of direct and indirect across Engineering, Manufacturing ( Shopfloor and Planning team ), Quality and Warehousing. Preparing of monthly reports for the board of directors. About you: The successful candidate will work with the Senior Management Team and the wider business, having a positive impact on the work environment while achieving the Company’s Finance objectives. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Group Operations Director. A min of 5 years management experience, working and leading an engineering-based manufacturing environment. Direct knowledge of Grinding and CNC Machining processes, working to high tolerances and with specialist materials, the Operations Manager should have considerable experience of with a strength in CNC machining and similar operations.
