Manufacturing Manager Nottinghamshire Permanent £35,000 - £42,000 p.a DOE EMBS Engineering Ltd is partnered with a leading precision engineering company that has built its globally recognised brand off the back of years of service, supplying high profile, high quality sub-assembly machined and fabricated components to global, industry-leading organisations. Predominantly supporting the aerospace and defence industries, operating out of various UK locations, our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Nottinghamshire site on a permanent basis. The role has become available due to an internal promotion, therefore, internal progression and development are very much part of their ethos and culture. For this particular role, the client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to create and maintain engineering routings through the MRP system, implement processes for new packages of work and also review and identify improvements of legacy projects by carrying out continuous improvement activities. You will be working closely with internal departments including Quality, to define manufacturing irregularities and identify long-term solutions to ensure repeated issues are avoided. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Develop new solutions to existing manufacturing problems * Ensure manufacturing processes, procedures, engineering specs and workflows are adequate to define manufacturing requirements * Provide support to the shopfloor to resolve queries or issues * Raising concessions for non-conforming products * Define and create planning amendments for rework operations * Support NPI Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate: * Previous Manufacturing, Production, Planning Engineering experience within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing background that produces components for the Aerospace industry * Worked within environments that have machining and/or fabrication manufacturing capabilities * Confidence in carrying out Route Cause Corrective Action activities * Previous support of 8D investigations * Proficiency with MRP / ERP systems * Ability to effect change and implement new ways of working / processes * Creation of engineering routings for manufacturing departments * Worked to company targets - Scrap reduction, RFT etc. Understanding / experience of CAD CAM Programming would be desirable but not essential In return, my client is offering: * Competitive salary - £35,000 - £42,000 p.a depending on experience * Stability / Longevity - Permanent position within a growing organisation * Days - 39 hours per week, 12pm finish on Fridays * Training & development opportunities - further education, external & internal training courses (university portal) * Contributory pension scheme * Company bonus scheme * Company sick pay - full sick pay * Death in service * EAP * Car scheme * Cycle to work scheme * Annual appraisals and salary reviews * Modern working environment and more....
