Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Manual Welder to join our aerospace team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will play a key role in the welding and fabrication of components used in aerospace applications. The ability to weld and a positive team-oriented personality are paramount. We are open to training individuals who possess core skills and a strong desire to learn and grow within our organisation. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual welding operations using TIG-GTWA techniques on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic materials. Interpret and adhere to acceptance standards such as CSWIP 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and AWS (American Weld Standard). Work with a team to ensure the production of high-quality welds in compliance with industry and company standards. Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Willingness to learn and adapt to new welding processes and techniques. Additional Responsibilities: Prepare jobs for welding, including cleaning, cutting, facing, polishing, and prepping to fixture. Manually TIG weld assemblies to drawing, fixtures, and overall specifications. Visually inspect all welds to applicable acceptance criteria. Orbital weld assemblies to drawing, fixtures, and overall specifications. Set up manual welder and orbital welder for specific jobs. Prepare tubing and/or fittings, including hacksaw, tube sizing, cleaning, facing, polishing, linishing, deburring, pellet gun, and use of Acetone for degreasing. Perform welding rework techniques, including planishing, grinding, and minor tube manipulation. Inspect components for damage/non-conformance to drawings and/or specifications. Use drawings, data cards, engineering specifications, and production plans to execute production efficiently. Check parts to manufacturing fixture and use borescopes for weld and component inspection. Utilize measuring equipment such as Vernier, tape measure, Vernier height gauge, micrometer, and shadow graph. Participate in daily 5S, TPM, improvement projects, guard check, etc. Provide training and share best practices with the team. Demonstrate basic general computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer. Conduct visual weld inspections. Qualifications: Proven experience in manual welding, with a focus on TIG-GTWA. Familiarity with acceptance standards such as CSWIP 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and AWS. Experience with exotic materials commonly used in aerospace applications. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Ability to handle information and access hardware subject to ITAR regulations. Education and Certifications: Welding certifications, including CSWIP and AWS, preferred. This position involves handling information and access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be capable of complying with this requirement
