Job Title: Maintenance Test Pilot (AW139) Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience (tax free) Location: Abu Dhabi We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Maintenance Test Pilot on the AW139 aircraft. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate. The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support. Reporting to the Quality & Engineering Manager, the AW139 Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) plays a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of AW139 helicopters. This position involves performing maintenance test flights (MTFs) to validate the proper functioning of the aircraft after maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications. The MTP collaborates closely with Maintenance and Production Control team to identify and resolve any discrepancies. The operation works a 24 hour shift pattern comprising of 3 x 8 hour shifts so you will be expected to work a mixture of days and nights. Main Responsibilities: * Must ensure that all aircraft inspections procedures, maintenance practices, standards, and records comply with all applicable SOPs and Local Directives. * Perform troubleshooting procedures of aircraft on the ground and during flight and make appropriate write-ups or gives verbal instructions to correct deficiencies. * Verify forms and records used in the performance of maintenance to ensure they comply with work performed prior to ground or maintenance test flights (MTF). * Perform recovery flights and ferries aircraft to additional sites in or outside the UAE. * Must be able to work flexible hour (holidays/weekends) as deemed necessary to support SAR mission. * Communicate, troubleshoot, advise and work side by side with pilots and maintenance personnel, and initiate and complete all flight/ maintenance forms and records to document maintenance test flights completion and discrepancies. * Perform additional duties as assigned during duty-non-flight periods. Benefits Include: * A competitive salary (tax free) * Medical insurance (including optical and dental) for employee and their family * Visa * Education allowance for up to 3 children- 40,000AED per child * 30 days annual leave plus 12 public holidays * Outbound flights paid for (business class)- up to 2 adults and 3 children * Paid hotel accommodation for 2 weeks upon arrival * Shipping allowance of 30,000AED (paid upon completion of probation period) * Housing allowance advance/ loan available * End of service payment (21 days salary after 1 years’ service and accrued up to 5 years’ service then 30 days salary for each year after 6 years) paid upon leaving the company * Annual Vacation Ticket tickets for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents (who are under the employee’s sponsorship) in a contract calendar year About You: * Flying Hours: Minimum 2000, including 1500 on AW139 + Type Rating. * A&P/ B1 License is Highly Preferred * Total of 2000+ flight hours and minimum 500 flight hours as pilot in command (PIC), and 200+ flying hours as MTP on AW139. * Experience as B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is highly preferred. * Proven experience in working with SAR / HEMS Organisations. * Strong knowledge of Production and Quality Control preferred. * Minimum High school / diploma graduate, bachelors degree in any aviation discipline is preferred. * Preferably holding B1.3 License. * Must have current or have ability to pass and maintain FAA or EASA, GCCA equivalent class II flight physical. Must be able to pass hands-on- flight evaluation. * Good knowledge of Special Operations mission requirements, equipment and maintenance programs. * Good working knowledge of all computer applications. * Strong charismatic and delegating attributes.
