Our Client, a World recognised and respected Automotive OEM Manufacturer based in rural Warwickshire are actively seeking a talented Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities making sure that they are all in good working order. You will also be involved in improving equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).  This position operates on a 3 shift rotating basis (earlies, lates and nights). On offer to the successful candidate is a competitive, albeit negotiable basic salary, together with 22.5% shift allowance and full benefits. Your duties and responsibilities will be: Carrying out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner. Assisting in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM). Carrying out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required. Operating maintenance Fork Lift Truck and Elevated Working Platform as required. Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary. Reporting breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management, Group Leader and Lead Tech. Making full use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time. Fill in job tickets / CMMS on completion of work. Manufacture spare parts as required (Simple Bracketry Gaskets etc…) using lathes, milling machines, welding equipment, etc. Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault repair and return equipment to operational service. Identifying spares requirements and control / log usage.You will have the following qualifications & experience: Should ideally have a practical level qualification – e.g., an NVQ, apprenticeship in manufacturing, engineering, mechanical, electrical, although plenty of relevant experience will be considered. Should be an experienced Maintenance Technician who has worked in manufacturing environments. Proven experience working with both relay logic and PLC control systems is needed. You will need extensive experience working as a qualified Maintenance Technician / Service Engineer operating in an industrial environment. You will be able to work on your own initiative. You shall have good time management and communication skills. You need to be Computer Literate and be flexible to work shifts.It’s great if you also have the following: Experience working as a Maintenance Technician / Service Engineer within an Automotive manufacturing environment, although this isn’t necessarily essential.This position is available with immediate effect.
