M-Tec Engineering Solutions are currently working with a leading tier 1 supplier with the recruitment of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician. Reporting to a Senior Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing support in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all plant and warehouse facilities over a three-shift rotation. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for maintenance of the assembly equipment and facilities as and when required. * Respond to breakdowns as and when they occur on the assembly equipment on an urgent basis. * Responsible for the recording and analysing of data from equipment failures. * Responsible for liaising with and working with outside contractors. * Responsible for planning and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities. * Assist operations in improving uptime on the equipment by applying problem solving techniques. * Working on bespoke assembly fixtures and conveyor systems, utilising knowledge of pneumatics, electrics, PLC systems (Siemens) and robotics. * Flexible and willing to work in any area/shift, and support opposite shift when required. Experience/Skills The successful candidate should have previous experience in a maintenance / technical environment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a biased towards Electrical Maintenance, you will: * Have the ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision. * Possess high level interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate all Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks afforded to you * Demonstrate the ability to identify and eliminate health, safety, ergonomic and environmental hazards in the workplace, whilst ensuring machine’s operate and full capacity with minimum breakdowns/failures. * Ideally be a “Time Served Apprentice”, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification, level 3 or HNC or equivalent and ideally have 18th edition certification. * Proficient with Siemens PLCs – both fault finding and writing / structuring new programs You will be a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be conscientious, methodical, task oriented and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. You should be able to deliver results by working calmly while under pressure, be enthusiastic and show responsibility for the safety of yourself and others.
