Job Role: Maintenance Controller  Job Type: Permanent  Location: Chippenham/Hybrid  Salary: £30,000 to £33,000  Our client, a global market leader in fleet management services, are seeking a Maintenance Controller to join their gropwing team. You will be a vital liaison between garage networks and customers, tasked with diagnosing faults, procuring replacement parts, and finalising repair agreements. This role operates within an office-based setting, using both telephone and web-based systems for efficient communication. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Maintenance Controller Authorise Repairs: Consult with garage networks and customers to authorise repairs for vehicles, providing expert opinions on cost-effective solutions Customer Parameter Management: Maintain awareness of customer-specific parameters to ensure repairs align with their needs Cost Control: Manage all aspects of cost control for each job, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Vehicle Downtime Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of clients' vehicle downtime to minimise disruptions. Parts Sourcing: Source replacement parts, including non-original equipment if necessary, to ensure cost-effectiveness. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive notes, gathering evidence and validating information as needed. Support Services: Provide support to customer service areas of the call centre as required. Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required by the business. Qualifications & Requirements- Maintenance Controller  Mechanical qualifications, such as City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable. Detailed mechanical knowledge of vehicles with hands-on workshop experience or similar. Proficiency in PC usage, internet, and email; ability to quickly learn new software applications. Numeracy and literacy skills with intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
