We are looking for a Logistics or Warehouse Operative with experience in Shipping and Receiving to join a well known and well established employer in the Burgess Hill area. This role would be ideal for someone with warehouse, logistics and/or dangerous goods experience to join a great employer in this permanent position. Job duties: * Identify and verify part numbers and place in correct locations * Use a computer / laptop and a hand scanner to manage stock locations and conduct cycle counts * Pick and pack orders * Print and batch pick tickets * Schedule, track and monitor inbound and outbound shipments * Complete export documentation and shipping manifests, including dangerous goods notices * Arrange for cost-efficient logistics * Load and off-load material to/from delivery vehicles * Sort and reconcile parts and enter information into ERP system * Lift and carry items weighing up to 35 lbs using available safety tools Skills & experience required: * Previous warehouse, shipping or logistics experience is essential * Computer literate and able to use hand held technology is essential * Able to move items in excess of 35lb using safety tools * Dangerous goods shipping certification (IATA, ADR and IMDG) would be ideal but not essential Hours and company benefits: * The role offers equivalent to national minimum wage with a higher starting salary for those with Dangerous Goods certification * 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (overtime available) * Free parking * Free tea and coffee * Simply Health scheme * Pension scheme * 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Wild Recruitment Ltd T/A First Recruitment Services is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy
