The Role As Logistics Manager, you’ll lead all inbound and outbound logistics operations across the plant, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective flow of materials. You’ll be responsible for internal storage and conveyance, despatch, customer interface, and compliance with customer and business systems (including SAP). This is a pivotal role where you'll also lead a team, contribute to HSE improvements, and support continuous improvement across logistics planning and performance. Key Responsibilities * Lead and develop the logistics team through coaching, performance reviews, and training plans. * Ensure customer delivery standards and expectations are consistently met and communicated. * Manage material flow from suppliers through to despatch using SAP and customer-specific systems. * Drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and non-value-added activity removal. * Collaborate cross-functionally to support productivity and operational excellence initiatives. * Maintain compliance with all business, SAP, and customer-related systems. What We’re Looking For * Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management within an automotive or manufacturing environment. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and engage teams. * Solid working knowledge of SAP and MRP systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities. * A methodical, tenacious, and flexible approach to work. * HND, NVQ Level 5, or equivalent experience in logistics, engineering, or business-related fields.
