Job Title: L2 NDT Inspector Location: Leicestershire, LE10 Shift: 4.5 Day week - Mon - Thurs 8 am to 16:45 - Fri 8 am to 12:00pm - 37hrs per week Salary: £35-£38k per annum Benefits: Permanent position + On-site parking + Free Parking + Training & Higher Level Qualifications. The Company: A well-established and growing precision engineering group and global manufacturer operating in a variety of Complex Markets including but not limited to the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive and Medical industries. Working in the non-destructive testing department you will be tasked with verifying products and parts manufactured meet with customer requirements and regulations. The position entails ensuring regular and appropriate testing and inspection of the final product prior to release to customer. Key Responsibilities: * You will be responsible for performing and maintaining non-destructive testing procedures for various aerospace metallic components. * Process components in accordance with NDT data card - cleaning, degreasing, inspect using appropriate method. * Fluorescent penetrant and Magnetic particle inspection: Process parts in accordance with data card. Visually inspect to internal and customer quality standard. The Candidate: * Experience working in aerospace / automotive quality systems minimum 5 years. * Knowledge of the required aerospace specifications for Rolls Royce. * Recognised & certified for Mag Particle Inspection and Dye Penetrant Inspection * Production floor experience in defect reduction and process improvement. * Working knowledge of common DPI & MPI Techniques. * Proficient using various inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators. * Proficient IT skills including MS-Office (primarily, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). * Knowledge of Manufacturing methods. * The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all employee levels. * Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent written and oral communication skills and a positive approach to all areas of work.
