Principle Electrical Engineer Kintore. Aberdeenshire Permanent Position Energy Sector/Electrical Engineering This is a rare opportunity for a highly experienced and talented Electrical Engineering professional to join a prominent business in the Kintore area. In this business-critical role, you will be leading a talented team to deliver cutting edge electrical designs for a range of complex electromechanical systems for the Energy sector. You’ll be an technical innovator, who keeps abreast of technology changes to deliver that into new designs and practices within the business. You’ll ideally have a background working in the energy sector and be confident in a people management capacity as you look to lead this talented team. DUTIES: Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop bespoke designs. Plan and lead design of all projects. Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g. ATEX, IECEX, CE or NORSOK). Ensure designs produced are efficient and cost-effective. Prepare, check, and approve associated engineering documents. Participate in sales contract reviews & internal design review meetings. Attend and participate in client meetings. Ensure all assigned deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements. Prepare Technical Requisitions for any 3rd party design review or verification. Develop and lead test programs and factory acceptance tests to validate designs. Ensure Engineering Change procedures are implemented thoroughly. Lead the investigation, resolution, and documentation of Engineering problems. Ensure workload planning is accurate both individually and within your team. Remain aware and involved in the latest developments within the industry. Lease with and manage the electrical workshop. BACKGROUND: BEng (Hons) or MEng Engineering. Extensive electrical or electro-mechanical system design background. Experience working at Senior/Principle/Management level. Strong people management skills. Knowledge of ATEX/IECEx. Confidence writing specifications for scopes of work. Leading design projects within multi-disciplinary teams. Experience within the Energy Sector (Wireline Technology desirable).
